Trades

From time to time, is nice to interact with other amazing artists in this BJD world. To trade is a nice way to do it. Lately I`ve been trading mostly clothes for face up works, sometimes, even pieces of resin as a partial trade such as heads or small parts.

I´m so happy with this kind of interaction, because thanks to it, I´ve been able to meet deeply so cute people.

Thanks everyone who offered me nice trades! Here are some examples of awesome and cute clothes shop owners who traded with me, hope you like everything and take an eye on their websites and shops!!!

This is from my friends Dafne and Kika-bi on flickr. It´s been long since our friendship started and it´s been so nice to enjoy their lovely works!

Another of my favourite doll artists is my dear Summomo and her beautiful shoes and bags for dolls, They are so finely made, I just love them!! Sorry I can´t find cute pictures of my own shoes and bags, I will borrow some from her etsy shop! Visit her, you will love everyhting!!!

Another super sweet friend of mine in this hobby is Amy Lilley BJD, you can find her etsy shop here. She made an awesome corset for my Enni in her Minifée Body, and also some cute tunics as a birthday present! She stamps beautiful and cute prints on her clothes. So kawaii!!!

I also have to mention my dear Cristina from Cositasdenenitas. You can see her Minifée Celine modelling, who was maked up by me <3 Her clothes are beautifully made, so tiny and cute <3 I asked her to make something for my Pure Neemo "Tifa" and I was more than happy with the result <3

Talking about trades, I can´t forget my recent friend Airee from SMPdoll, she is so sweet and kind, and her clothes are so fashion and casual, my Minifée girls look like little real people with them!! Just lovely, I can say I will trade again in the future, or buy more clothes from her!!

And my last trade, and one that makes me really happy, is with the spanish artist Lola from Atelier Momoni. She is a complete artist, since she doesn´t only make awesome clothes, but she also is face up artist and sculptor, Check her awesome and cute dolls if you don´t know them already. I traded this outfit from her that is simply gorgeous and breathtaking! Here are the last pictures of the entry, and with them I say "see you soon!" I hope you enjoyed!! Happy and exciting news!

Hi everyone!

The main reason I wanted to write this entry, was to happily announce that from now on (if everything goes fine, cross fingers) I will be working exclusively on art, dolls, and make up commissions.

I had some bitter experiencie in my job as a teacher (job I absolutely love, but not the enterprise ways) and decided it was a good moment to fight for my future and profesional growth.

So, that means I will at last spend all the time I´ve been wanting in this wonderful "new" job.

Thanks one more time for all the support, without it this dream would be impossible to come true!

And, after this news, I´m happy to release 20 new make up slots that will be opened next Sunday, August  the 3rd at 14:00 hours, spanish time!

Hola a tod@s!!!

La razón principal por la que escribo esta entrada, es para felizmente contaros que (si todo va bien, crucemos os dedos...) de ahora en adelante trabajaré exclusivamente en el arte, las muñecas y los encargos de maquillaje.

He tenido experiencias algo amargas en mi trabajo como maestra, (trabajo que adoro, pero no las maneras de la empresa) así que por ello he decidido que es un buen momento para luchar por mi futuro y crecimiento profesional.

Así que esto significa que por fin podré dedicarle a este "nuevo" trabajo todo el tiempo que se merece.

Gracias por todo vuestro apoyo, ya que sin él este sueño no podría estar haciéndose realidad.

Y.... tras estas noticias, me alegra anunciar también el lanzamiento de 20 slots de maquillajes que podréis adquirir el próximo Domingo 3 de Agosto a las 14:00, hora española!

Hello everyone! Feel so sorry, lately I´ve been very busy, so I didn´t update the blog as often as I wish...

Here I will love to announce my nearly assistance to Dolls & Party event in Barcelona, next July the 5th. I will be probably selling Enni heads, and will also prepare some Monster High customs among any other surprises.

I´m also working on my new sculpt Sophie, it will be great to have her ready for the event, but I´m afraid is not a realistic goal since I still have to finish her, and then wait for all the sending process to Korea etc.

Hope I can see you there, I feel very excited and happy!!!

Also wanted to announce a price raise for my future commissions, every day I get better and face ups take me more time to be done, so I need to do this to make my work on dolls be worth it.

The prices from now on will be:

40 euros for any sized bjd, pullip, blythe...
60 euros for monster high, azone or similar.

The price raise will start from next commissions opening, it will take a bit, so I am officially taking a rest to prepare everything for the event.

Hola a todos!! Siento haber estado ocupada últimamente y no haber actualizado por aquí todo lo que me gustaría.

Me encantaría anunciaros mi asistencia al próximo evento Dolls & Party en Barcelona el día 5 de Julio! Seguramente venda allí cabecitas de Enni y prepare algunas custom Monster High entre otras sorpresas. También sigo trabajando en mi nuevo molde Sophie, me encantaría que estuviera lista para el evento, aunque me temo que no es un meta realista, ya que aún debo trabajar mucho en ella, y el proceso de casteado es largo.

Espero poder veros allí! Me siento muy feliz y emocionada! =)

Además me gustaría anunciar una subida de precios, en el servicio de maquillaje; siento que mejoro cada día, y ello hace que mi trabajo en los maquillajes sea cada vez más meticuloso y costoso, por ello tomo esta decisión, para que el tiempo que empleo en los maquillajes merezca la pena.

Los precios de ahora en adelante serán:

40 euros para bjd de cualquier tamaño, pullip, blythe...
60 euros para monster high, azone o similar.

La subida de precio afectará a partir de la próxima apertura, que será pospuesta, ya quie quiero tomarme un pequeño descanso para centrarme en el evento y en la escultura.

Chapter 3: Eyes, eyes, eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!

I´ve been going a little crazy lately about eyes choose for my dolls...

The type of eyes I always prefered was Glass Eyes, they are so realistic, and

you can find some models with iris pattern, here are some examples about the

Glass Eyes I own:

Últimamente he estado volviéndome algo loca con el tema de qué ojos elegir

para mis muñecas.....

El tipo de ojos que siempre he preferido son los de cristal, son bastante realistas,

y puedes incluso encontrar algunos modelos con dibujo en el iris. Aquí os dejo 

algunos ejemplos de ojos de cristal que llevan mis BJD.

But lately I discovered a new type of doll eyes, that I really loved: Urethane Eyes.

The problem of this eyes, is the price. They are expensive compared to glass eyes,

and very hard to get, because the best eyes crafters are situated in Asia,

specually in Korea, and their pages are not translated, so you have to 

ask through a dealer, or wait for long preorders. These are the two best urethane eyes

I,ve seen for the moment: Enchanted Doll and Dollflower (this ones are the

hardest to get)

The other eyecrafter I found is Makoeyes, these ones are cheaper, but I´m

afraid they are worst quality too.

I ordered some pairs of Makoeyes, so I´ll tell when they arrived,

but for pictures I´ve seen I think the effect is not the same like Enchanted Doll´s

or Dollflower´s...

I made a review for these three different eyes. (Please, notice the pictures

are not mine, I found them on Flickr, this reviews are only with

informative aim)

Recientemente he descubierto un nuevo tipo de ojos para estas

muñecas: ojos de uretano.

El principal problema de estos ojos, es el precio. Son bastante caros

si los comparamos con los ojos de cristal, y además son algo difíciles

de conseguir, ya que los mejores artesanos de este tipo de ojos, se

encuentran en Asia, principalmente en Korea, y sus páginas web no

están traducidas en algunos casos, con lo cual, a la hora de realizar un

pedido, dependemos de Dealers o Preorders que salen cada mucho tiempo.

Estas son las mejores casas que fabrican ojos de uretano para mi gusto:

Enchanted Doll y Dollflower (estos últimos son los más

complicados de conseguir)

Otra tienda que he encontrado es Makoeyes, estos últimos son

más baratos, pero me temo que también tienen peor calidad... En un arranque "pasional"

me he pedido varios pares, así que os contaré cuando los tenga, pero por imágenes que

he podido ver, me parece que el efecto no es el mismo que el que se

consigue con unos Dollflower o unos Enchanted Doll.

Os dejo con unos montajes para que veáis las diferencias

entre estas casas (Las imágenes que he usado no son mías, han sido

seleccionadas a través de Flickr y únicamente con fines informativos)

As you can see, Enchanted Doll and Dollflower seems to have mor depth and

nicer shine than Makoeyes.

That´s why I went totally crazy, and I luckily found an Enchanted Doll preorder going on

the forum Den Of Angels, so after thinking and thinking, and thinking (specially about

the price...) I finally decided to order some eyes, because I think the result deserves it.

So here I am, finally waiting for 5 pairs of eyes of different eyecrafters, I think

I´m absolutely mad... But it´s ok, I´ll let you know when the eyes arrive, and

take some comparative pictures to help you if someday you get as crazy as I did!!

Como podéis ver, los Enchanted Doll y Dollflower tienen mayor profundidad

y un brillo más agradable que los Makoeyes.

Así que, esto fue por lo que me volví ya loca de remate, y encontré con

suerte un pedido abierto en el foro  Den Of Angels, así que después de pensarlo, 

y pensarlo, y pensarlo un poco más (sobretodo por el precio), finalmente

decidí traerme unos ojitos de esta casa, porque creo que el resultado lo merece.

Así que aquí me tenéis, esperando 5 pares de ojos de diferentes casas, creo

que estoy totalmente loca... Os volveré a escribir cuando lleguen los

ojos, y haré fotos comparativas para echaros un cable si algún día os volvéis

tan locos como yo!!

Finalmente os dejo con las imágenes de los ojos que estoy esperando, y

con ellas os digo hasta la próxima, espero que nos leamos pronto!

Chapter 2: Waiting for Gabrielle

Here I come again, to talk you about my new doll project, Gabrielle, she is a Minifée Chloe.

This is a mold that I´ve loved for long, and at last I´ll have my own!!

Since I knew that she was finally coming, I´ve been very exited thinking about her final look, I made some drawings of her:

Aquí vuelvo para hablaros de mi próximo proyecto Gabrielle, ella será una Minifée Chloe. Es un molde que me ha encantado desde hace mucho tiempo, y por fin tendré la mía!!

Desde que sabía que me la iba a traer para casa, he estado muy emocionada pensando en su look final, e hice algunos dibujos de ella:

Also I bought some eyes and wig for her. About the eyes, I wanted to try Urethane´s. The truth is that I wanted to  look for some Dollflower´s or Enchanted Doll´s, but I had no the chance, so I tryed Makoeyes. I´ll tell you how I like the eyes when I see them in person, but I think that I´ll have to wait between 1 or 2 months until I receive them.

Ya le he comprado sus ojos y pelito. Sobre los ojos, tenía ganas de probar los de uretano, me habría encantado ir a por unos Dollflower, o Enchanted Doll, pero no tuve la oportunidad, así que me lancé con Makoeyes. Os contaré cuando me lleguen, pero creo que tendré que esperar entre un mes o dos hasta que los reciba.

About her style.. She will have a natural, modern and casual look. I asked my friends Dafne and Kika-Bi (her mom sews AWESOME) to make jeans for her and a cute blouse <3 I can´t wait to see them!

Chapter 1... Shipping!

Hello everyone, today I´m writing here about the shipping.

It´s not a very interesting theme, but yesterday I was thinking about it, because it´s a really important part of all the comissions process.

I can divide all the comissions work-time in several parts:

Receiving, unpackahing and notification to the customer 5%

Preparing heads for the face up (cleaning, airbrush...): 15%

Make Up process: 40%

Taking and editing pictures, showing them, aproval, packaging, sending, notification to the customer: 40%

As you can see, I can spend almost the same time and effort on the last two steps... Maybe doing the face up is more rewarding than sendindg ^__^

Although, is a curious thing, because all the post office workers already know me , and lately my peculiar pink packages, all in all, it´s funny!!!

Hola a todos!!! Hoy me acerco para escribiros sobre el tema de enviar paquetitos!

No es que sea un tema demasiado interesante, pero estaba pensando sobre ello, ya que es una parte realmente importante del proceso de los encargos...

Podría dividir el tiempo que empleo en varias partes:

Recibir, desempaquetar, notificar: 5%

Preparar las cabezas para el maquillaje (limpieza, aerografiado...): 10%

Proceso de maquillado; 40%

Tomar fotos, editarlas, enseñarlas, aprobación, empaquetar, mandar, notificar: 40%

Como podéis ver, se gasta el mismo tiempo y esfuerzo en las dos últimas partes, incluso hacer el maquillaje es en ocasiones más gratificante ^__^

De todos modos, es curioso, ya que todos los trabajadores de la oficina de correos me conocen, y últimamente a mi, y a mis peculiares paquetitos rosas, al fin y al cabo es algo divertido!

Os dejo con una foto que tomé ayer de los paquetillos que mandé!!! Infinito trabajo este Julio!! Muchas gracias a tod@s!!!!
